[TechCrunch] Japanese Ticketing Startup Peatix Raises $3M Series A To Fund Expansion To U.S., Singapore

Japanese e-ticketing startup Peatix just closed a Series A round of $3 million, led by Fidelity Japan. The company is seeking to be the Eventbrite of Asia, and provides a platform for event organizers to manage ticket sales. It says it’s already had 10,000 events listed on its platform since it launched in May 2011. ...

  • There appeared many ticket sales platform startups in Japan. The competition among them seems to get fierce recently in Japan. It is interesting to see if PeaTix can get a big lead with the fundraising with others.
